Geriatric Mental Health Camp at Kripalaya, Gawli Palasia, Mhow
Older adults face unique risk factors such as social isolation, bereavement, ageism, abuse, and the challenges of caregiving, all of which can severely impact mental well-being.
Setting up geriatric mental health services in primary care involves creating integrated, multidisciplinary systems for screening, prevention, early intervention, treatment, and follow-up of mental health conditions in older adults. This approach is built on collaborative care, staff training, infrastructure strengthening, and the adoption of evidence-based guidelines to deliver comprehensive, holistic support for older patients.
I would like to thank Lions Club Mhow for facilitating this Geriatric Mental Health Camp under their Lions Sewa Saptah 2025.
